The notch jaw, at first glance, resembles a dace, but its distinctive mouth shape makes it easy to differentiate. Belonging to the carp family, it is reputed to have a more aggressive nature than its relatives. Known for its clean and pleasant taste, the notch jaw is often sought after by adventurers in the Neutral Zone, who take a break from their subjugating endeavors to fish for this particular species and rejuvenate their spirits.
